Microsoft Terms of Fascism Agreement

If being ripped off badly when buying my car has taught me anything, it’s to read the fine print.  Ever since that moment of total idiocy on my part, I have been very careful to read the fine print on everything. In the past, I have had a very positive relationship with Microsoft. Usually, I agree with their Terms of Use without concern that agreeing to them might one day haunt me, however, two items stand out in their latest update have me very concerned, especially considering the hostile-to-liberty-environment  we live in.

I would encourage each of you to read through the Microsoft Code of Conduct, because in it, you will find two items that might come back to haunt you if you lean right in any way, the first item being the worst, the other, may just be an item that needs some clarification. I will tackle the first now.
Prohibited Activity

“You will not upload, post, transmit, transfer, distribute or facilitate distribution of any content (including text, images, sound, video, data, information or software) or otherwise use the service in a way that…”

Ø  Promotes or otherwise facilitates the purchase and sale of ammunition or firearms.

This item terrifies me. Not because I promote or sell fire arms, and ammunition, because I do not, but I am a law abiding gun owner. I am a stickler for safety, and have always been super careful, but I do enjoy the sport if shooting, and I am a staunch advocate of the 2nd amendment as it was originally intended, as both an individual right, and a call for a well-regulated militia. The arguments over this amendment are beyond stupid. Gun rights were one of a very few areas the founders agreed upon, with near-universal support for the individual right to bear arms. I have tackled this issue numerous times in the past, everyone should know by now that the founders did intend that this be a universal right of men and women. I believe that, as Madison put it, "Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms..." (James Madison, The Federalist Papers #46 at 243-244). Does that mean I am now disqualified from having a Microsoft Account?
Now of course you will find countless websites that deny such was ever said, but it’s right there in the federalist papers, so suck it. That nonsense of “the founders never said that,” is why I don’t quote the founders much anyway, liberals just deny the quote was ever said, even when you have it cited and sourced properly. I covered that somewhat in my book, which you can buy here:
But the point remains, I feel strongly about this issue. Apparently so does Microsoft. But that corporations who have never been expressly political in the past, are suddenly inserting themselves into politics this way, seems reminiscent of the way that the corporations of Germany bent over backward to help advance the Nazi agenda... Which included disarming it’s Jewish citizenry… not that we ever learn from history in this country now… we just deny that it ever happened...

The second one starts out innocuous, but part of it (which I have added emphasis to) could become disturbing in today’s intolerant toward conservatism political environment.

…You will not upload, post transmit, yada, yada, yada… anything that…

Ø  Incites, advocates, or expresses pornography, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity, hatred, bigotry, racism, or gratuitous violence.

Now in normal political times I’d be like, “here! Here!” Or, “huzzah!” Because gamers on Xbox live are rude. It’s one of the reasons I don’t play on Xbox Live. But look at part of this… “hatred, bigotry, racism.” Woohoo! Thought police! You have just disagreed with President Obama on policy! We, the courts of Microsoft, have found you guilty of… You guessed it! Hatred, bigotry and racism! You know that thousands of dollars you spent downloading Xbox games onto that console you spent hundreds of dollars on? Erased! You know that Hotmail account you have had for years, and is tied into absolutely everything you do online? Gone! Oh, and if you don’t like these Terms of Use, you can always close you Microsoft Account! We dare you! You will lose your games and all the software you use with us, but go right ahead, and press that cancel account button!

Those of you who have been advocating against Common Core, get ready, Microsoft has declared itself a thought police, and if you think they won’t take your account down? All it takes is one left wing cry baby getting all upset because you said Obamacare sucks, and Common Core is ruining our schools, and boom, your account will be gone.

We’re at the stage that pundits have warned about for years. It is official. I do not recognize our country anymore. But the only way Microsoft will get away with forcing this on us is if we ignore this, or just pretend, “well, it’s only Xbox,” because it’s not. It’s EVERYTHING Microsoft does. Come July 31st, you will be told by a Microsoft program of some kind or another, either you comply, or your account will be closed, by you, or us, because we’re Microsoft, we’re pinko-commie fascists now, and we can.

Good thing the PS4 and Wii U are so awesome. Expect my email address to change shortly.
