What Boehner must Do

We all know the attempt to oust Republican House Speaker, John Boehner, failed. What many may not realize, is that it only barely failed. At first, Boehner seemed to be responding with indignation. Two of the “rogue” congressmen were removed from their committee appointments, with threats that more would be punished. But, based on several articles on Breightbart, the Blaze, Newsmax and others, Boehner seems to be striking a more conciliatory tone, lamenting that he had once been the 8th most Conservative Congressman in Congress, and wondering how he was now considered “establishment.”-1)

Well that didn't take long...

Lately I’ve been posting new videos, hoping to regain my old audience once more. So far only about 30-40 are tuning in, but those folks, I’m sure, will recall that a couple weeks ago I predicted that the Democrats would blame Republicans for the botched launch of Obamacare.

It’s a blue, blue ocean

Do me a favor, if you like this please pass it along. There’s a great deal of infighting in the GOP and we must do all we can to lay it to rest and get everyone fighting the real opponents, which is not each other, but a Democratic party bound and determined to change us rather than Washington DC. The solution to the GOP’s problem is pretty simple from my perspective, I just wonder if the leadership of our party is just too old and jaded to see it. We need people to start looking outside the box and our reluctance to look for answers outside the same group of people who lost us the McCain race and now the Romney race with their focus on moderating the party which clearly isn’t working, we’ve done it twice now and it’s not working. The one race where we let the base do it it’s way was the 2010 race, and yes Sharon Angel and Christine O’Donnell lost but the reality is that in 2010 the GOP promised the world something different from the Bush/McCain years and guess what, all in all we won, so when outside the box thinking prevailed we did pretty well.

What went wrong?

Barack Obama is not popular. With the economy as bad off as it is he should have been pretty easy to defeat, and the wind seemed to be at our backs but much to our horror election night went down with the GOP on a national level in defeat. On an individual state basis though we actually shored up some pretty significant wins but that will be another blog. It is a tradition of the GOP to tear itself apart 24-7 anyway, but things get worse upon losing a major election.

The truth about the truth about Obama's Rose Garden speech (Yes that was deliberate)

Round 2: FIGHT!

The media wanted a feistier Obama and the got it with the help of tonight’s sham moderator of course. Whether you think Obama won or Romney depends on if you think that Romney's ceding to the moderator’s erroneous claim that Obama did declare Bengasi an act of terror, "if only you'd read the transcript" was the bigger deal or if Obama's stating he believes higher gas prices were a sign of economic recovery was. For me it ought to be the latter rather than the former as comments like this reveal a stunning cluelessness about how the economy works. Once again Democrats prove their loyalty to the failed ideas of John Maynard Keynes. High prices do not lead to shared prosperity. On that note, please pay attention to an interesting phenomenon, when Romney leads in the polls gas prices start to slip, when Obama does they start to go up again. Might be coincidence, but then again Obama did say he felt electricity rates should "necessarily skyrocket" under his plan so there you go...

Frustrating Polls In Spite of Poor Economic Reports

Obama running against things no one is suggesting
Clinton gave a good speech, or so I heard. I cannot stand the Democrats any more, they are so extreme any one of them start talking and I tune out. Democrats too often jump immediately to “hate “and “racist” that it becomes hard to have a serious policy discussion. From what I hear Clinton broke that mold and did give a policy discussion, one that has a lot of pundits on the right worried, not because he was right, but because no one will fact check his numbers, which apparently need to be fact checked as he counts money used for Obamacare as though it could be used for Medicare at the same time creating a huge flaw in his math. You cannot spend the same dollar twice. I'm an artist not a mathematician, but double checking any politician's math regardless of party seems like common sense to me.

Gary “Baldrick” Johnson: Spoiler alert: He loses

Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson
We have a very short amount of time ahead of us in which things can either be turned around and our country gets back on the right track, or slowed down enough to give us more time to work within the GOP to try and make the necessary changes to allow us to turn this ship around before it’s too late. I happen to agree that a surface glimpse of Romney’s record leaves much to be desired, so too did Reagan’s track record as governor of California, and for that matter Calvin Coolidge had signed on to the Progressive movement before jumping off that band wagon later in his career. That said the profound transformation of Calvin Coolidge and Ronald Reagan should be an historical precedence that just because someone did dumb things earlier in their career does not mean they will be bad presidents.
