We all know the
attempt to oust Republican House Speaker, John Boehner, failed. What many may
not realize, is that it only barely failed. At first, Boehner seemed to be
responding with indignation. Two of the “rogue” congressmen were removed from
their committee appointments, with threats that more would be punished. But,
based on several articles on Breightbart, the Blaze, Newsmax and others,
Boehner seems to be striking a more conciliatory tone, lamenting that he had
once been the 8th most Conservative Congressman in Congress, and
wondering how he was now considered “establishment.”-1)

Promoting Paranoia Does Not an Election Win
I love Townhall
Magazine, I love it because it’s writers generally reflect a world view not
terribly different from my own, whether it’s Walter E Williams, Thomas Sowell
or Michelle Malkin, I generally feel the same way about things that they do.
Once in a while there is a columnist who writes some absurdity that should not
be tolerated if we really want to see any sort of come back in 2014, especially
in light of the failure these George W Bushikins to unite the fractured party
in 2012.

It’s a blue, blue ocean
Do me a favor, if you
like this please pass it along. There’s a great deal of infighting in the GOP
and we must do all we can to lay it to rest and get everyone fighting the real
opponents, which is not each other, but a Democratic party bound and determined
to change us rather than Washington DC. The solution to the GOP’s problem is
pretty simple from my perspective, I just wonder if the leadership of our party
is just too old and jaded to see it. We need people to start looking outside
the box and our reluctance to look for answers outside the same group of people
who lost us the McCain race and now the Romney race with their focus on
moderating the party which clearly isn’t working, we’ve done it twice now and
it’s not working. The one race where we let the base do it it’s way was the
2010 race, and yes Sharon Angel and Christine O’Donnell lost but the reality is
that in 2010 the GOP promised the world something different from the
Bush/McCain years and guess what, all in all we won, so when outside the box
thinking prevailed we did pretty well.Sunday, April 22, 2012
UTGOP 2012 convention: What the Hell?
I want to first offer my congratulations to the winners of last night’s convention, as well as support. Though we “radical libertarians” are often accused of stuff we’re not doing we do our due diligence for the party, as will I. While I am disgusted with David Kirkham who spent the last several months trashing Governor Herbert only to endorse him after being knocked out in the first round. Morgan Philpot had a philosophical and financial argument to make, that I believe was indeed a good one that would have resonated in a primary. We do need to get the state financially independent of federal dollars, but if there was inflammatory rhetoric it came from Kirkham who discredited himself, and Utah’s Tea Party by backing the very governor he was slamming. Whatever credibility the Tea Party had left in Utah it’s done now.

Republicans Should Go On Strike
Once more John Boehner has proposed a rubber stamp on something Obama wants. An extension of his gutting of Social Security for a full year… basically what Republicans proposed from the beginning but without finding offsets. The leadership complains that they can’t do anything else because we got hurt politically in the last round on this issue… No John… let me explain this since we “right wing extremists” seem to be the only ones interested in winning in 2012…
